One of the most proudest day of Bengal is Rabindra Jayanti, On this day top school in liluah “Sudhir Memorial Institute Liluah” tributeon the birth anniversary of the great man Writer and Novelist Rabindranath Tagore. It is celebrated throughout the country on the 25th day of the month of Baisakh. Accordingly, May 9 was the date for commemorating the 157th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore in our school. The event was celebrated in three phases.
“Sudhir Memorial Institute Liluah”school in howrah inaugurated the celebration by tribute a bouquet of flower, dances, drama, songs and a speeches composed by Great Tagore. The SMIL paid homage to Tagore through a beautiful collage on Tagore which was inaugurated by the Principle of our school. The celebrations continued in the form of recital of English and Bengali versions of Tagore’s poems from the Gitanjali collection, which was followed by “Riturongo”, which was a beautiful rendition of the seasons through recitation, songs and dances from Tagore’s compositions.
The celebrations were concluded by the Senior Secondary Section of our top school in howrah through group performances of poems, songs and dances and drama depicting the enormous range of Tagore’s creations.
Finally a great way to encourage our student involvement in incredible events such as a little students dance,singing or senior student/teacher events. One of the most popular event was Dances on Tagore compositions. This include the biggest performance of all time who participated and it made everyone spark throughout the performance, whether the Dance, Songs or Poems every time the set up of the students and community performed and enjoy at it’s best.
Involve and appreciation of the principals encourage students in each and every function shows.The students accomplished with best prizes and gifts. We all witness the great event with our lovable child/ teacher and parents.
There are many events that can inspire school spirit. We SMIL top science school in liluah will bring more and more functions, events and curriculum activities to spread a social messages among society. There is nothing better than seeing a stadium filled with one’s school colors, that sight alone may entice more kids to participate.
